City Guide
City guides, regardless of their medium (printed or digital), serve as invaluable references for travellers globally. Recognizable names such as Lonely Planet, Frommers, Monocle, Luxe, and Michelin provide essential information on accommodations, dining options, noteworthy attractions, and renowned landmarks. However, the nature of tourists has evolved, and personal interests now greatly vary. This project entails designing an alternative city guide for Brno, any other existing city, or even fictional ones, considering the unique preferences of diverse individuals. Working alongside two classmates, the objective is to create a city guide catering to specific interests, distinct communities, exceptional tastes, or unique requirements. This alternative guide goes beyond the conventional approach to accommodate everyone. Imagining scenarios like a guide tailored for visually impaired visitors or one catering to the needs and interests of the LGBTQ+ community.
Editorial Design
Students are tasked with creating a cohesive graphic system for a series of book covers. The goal is to establish a unified visual identity that ties the covers together while capturing the unique essence of each book. Elements like typography, colour palettes, and imagery should be harmoniously employed to achieve recognition and coherence across the series. Consider the individual mood, genre, and intended audience of each book. The project requires presenting the graphic system with precise guidelines to ensure consistency across all covers.
